This free organization is open to any teen between the ages of 12 and 18, though even those older than 18 may seek to serve as leaders in the group. The St. Frances de Chantal Young Teen Group Leadership Team is a fully volunteer core group of high school seniors to young adults. All leaders are active Catholics with, at least, a basic knowledge of catholic theology studies. Each are required complete an annual 8-week extensive leadership training in order to qualify to lead each upcoming year. All Leaders adhere to the Archdioceses of New York Safe Environment regulations. Leaders are either Safer Spaces certified, if 17 years old, or completed V.I.R.T.U.S training, those 18 years or older. All leaders, regardless of age, are First-Aid certified.
